The Mt Level Community Haven (“MLCH” or “the Haven”) mission is to improve the health, wellness, educational attainment/opportunities and spiritual growth of youth, adults and families of Durham County, North Carolina.

The Mt. Level Community Haven, in its role as a non-profit (501(c)3) organization is the vehicle through which the MLMBC Food Pantry purchases food from the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. This vehicle allows the MLCH to extend its outreach to provide more food to families and individuals who this service.  The Haven encourages more assistance, especially able-bodied men, to help move food from The Food Bank to the Church each Wednesday afternoon. Due to the success with two prior alcoholism prevention grants, this Fall the MLCH was awarded a third North Carolina ABC Commission grant to provide educational workshops and other activities so that young people will not fall prey to alcoholism.
